Muraba: ‘Seen and not seen’ monograph
Picture an iPhone half its normal width. Then imagine a residential tower with roughly the same proportions. Couldn’t be done, right?
Well, it could. And it is. Muraba Veil is the vision of Pritzker Prize-winning Catalan practice RCR Arquitectes and developer-patron Ibrahim Al-Ghurair. A tower that is 380 metres high and just one apartment deep, Muraba Veil offers every super-luxury residence clear blue Emirates sky on both sides, plus sun terraces, greenery, pools and deep, open-plan interiors.
I was asked by Pentagram’s John Rushworth to produce the commentary for a handsome hardback monograph, unfolding the visions and ambitions behind the Veil for prospective purchasers… and disbelieving onlookers.
